Mathilde Eva Hanna, known as Mathilde / Tilla, was born on January 18th, 1891 in Breslau (DE) sinds 1945 Wroclaw (PL).¹

Mathilde / Tilla's father was Louis Oscar August (Louis) Winkler and her mother was Hermine Mathilde Anna (Mathilde) Syring. Her paternal grandparents were August Winkler and Friederieke Seide; her maternal grandparents were Gustav Alexander (Alexander) Syring and Dorothea Weinhold. She had six brothers and seven sisters, named Hans, Friedrich, Georg, Wilhelm Friedrich Ludwig, Herbert, Walther, Margarete, Mathilde, Else, Frieda, Dorothea Ida Katharina, Katherine and Alice / Licel. She was the thirteenth oldest of the fourteen children.
