Elfriede Dorothea Friederieke, known as Frieda, was born on March 1st, 1883 in Breslau (DE) sinds 1945 Wroclaw (PL).1  Frieda's father was Louis Oscar August (Louis) Winkler and her mother was Hermine Mathilde Anna (Mathilde) Syring.  Her paternal grandparents were August Winkler and Friederieke Seide; her maternal grandparents were Gustav Alexander (Alexander) Syring and Dorothea Weinhold.  She had six brothers and seven sisters, named Hans, Friedrich, Georg, Wilhelm Friedrich Ludwig, Herbert, Walther, Margarete, Mathilde, Else, Dorothea Ida Katharina, Katherine, Alice / Licel and Mathilde / Tilla.  She was the seventh oldest of the fourteen children.
