Alice Antonie Mathilde, known as Alice / Licel, was born on February 8th, 1890 in Breslau (DE) sinds 1945 Wroclaw (PL).1  Alice / Licel's father was Louis Oscar August (Louis) Winkler and her mother was Hermine Mathilde Anna (Mathilde) Syring.  Her paternal grandparents were August Winkler and Friederieke Seide; her maternal grandparents were Gustav Alexander (Alexander) Syring and Dorothea Weinhold.  She had six brothers and seven sisters, named Hans, Friedrich, Georg, Wilhelm Friedrich Ludwig, Herbert, Walther, Margarete, Mathilde, Else, Frieda, Dorothea Ida Katharina, Katherine and Mathilde / Tilla.  She was the twelfth oldest of the fourteen children.  She died at the age of 78 on March 6th, 1968.
