Neeltje was born in 1669 in Oostzaan (NL) and her baptism took place there on September 1st, 1669.1   Neeltje's father was Pieter Jansz. de Boer and her mother was Trijn Jans.  Her paternal grandparents were Jan de Boer and NN.  She had two brothers and three sisters, named Jan, Lucas, Lijsje, Maritje and Lopje.  She was the fifth oldest of the six children.
