Antje was born about 1812 in Schellingwoude (NL).  Antje's father was Jacob Muijs and her mother was Maritje (Maretje) Greuning.  Her maternal grandparents were Frans Greuning and Mietje Steening.  She had a brother and a sister, named Jan and Aaltje.  She was the youngest of the three children.
