Wijbrand Jacobsz was born on September 10th, 1733 in Oost-Knollendam (NL) and his baptism took place there on September 13th, 1733.  Wijbrand Jacobsz's father was Jacob Aldertsz. Groot and his mother was Guurtje Sijmons Gootsel.  His paternal grandparents were Aldert Jacobsz. (Allerd) Groot and Aegt Gerrids; his maternal grandparents were Sijmon Engelse and Grietje Pieters.  He had a brother named Aldert Jacobse.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 72 on December 31st, 1805 in Oost-Knollendam (NL).
