Jacob Aldertsz. was born about 1700 and his baptism took place on July 25th, 1700 in Knollendam (NL).1   Jacob Aldertsz.'s father was Aldert Jacobsz. (Allerd) Groot and his mother was Aegt Gerrids.  His maternal grandparents were Gerrit Arisz and Celitje Crelis.  He was an only child.
